Currently in development by Korean solo development studio CH4WORKS, Magna Conquest is a grand strategy game for PC that combines kingdom management and massive-scale warfare within a single real-time world. Time continues to pass even while players are managing their nation on the campaign map, allowing them to switch to the battlefield at any moment and directly command their armies. The game is currently being developed for release on Steam, with a specific launch date to be announced at a later time.
The newly released first trailer highlights Magna Conquest’s large-scale warfare and real-time strategy systems. One of the game’s defining features is its ability to simulate up to 100,000 units in a single battle. Players can deploy infantry, cavalry, archers, siege weapons, legendary heroes, and powerful magic while making tactical decisions involving troop positioning, logistics, and battlefield control.
The world continues to evolve even while battles are underway. Each nation pursues its own objectives, expands its territory, strengthens its economy, and develops changing diplomatic relationships. While the player is directly commanding forces on the battlefield, other factions and events across the world continue to progress, making it necessary to consider not only individual battles but also the broader political and strategic situation across the continent.
Kingdom management is another major part of the game. Players can develop cities, construct infrastructure, manage resources, and strengthen both their economy and military. Diplomatic systems include alliances, treaties, vassal management, and various ways to exert influence over rival nations. As each faction acts according to its own goals, every campaign can present different opportunities and threats.
Players can also shape the long-term development of their kingdom through research and hero progression. An extensive research tree allows new military doctrines, economic advancements, and strategic abilities to be unlocked depending on the player’s chosen direction. Legendary heroes feature their own unique traits and can be developed through dozens of skills and specialized equipment, allowing them to focus on areas such as command, combat, magic, logistics, and economics.
Large-scale world events and faction-specific storylines are also planned to influence the course of each campaign. Events such as horde invasions and necromancer uprisings can threaten the entire continent, forcing players to revise their strategies or form new alliances. Each faction will also feature its own storyline, exclusive quests, objectives, and challenges centered on its history, ambitions, and fate.
In addition to single-player, campaign multiplayer will also be supported. Multiple players will be able to control independent kingdoms within the same persistent real-time world, engaging in diplomacy, trade, alliances, rivalry, and warfare. Each player’s decisions can influence the shared history and balance of power within the campaign.
Magna Conquest is being developed by a solo developer at CH4WORKS, who is responsible for the game’s engine, simulation systems, rendering, interface, and overall content. The game is planned for release on PC via Steam, while its launch date and pricing have yet to be announced.
